Templates

Papers for IGLC 35 (Munich, 2027) must be written in the IGLC 35 Word template:

IGLC 35 paper template (Word template, .dotx)

Open the file to start a new document from it, and write your paper using the template's styles. The template includes the submission checklist, which must stay at the end of your paper when you submit it.

IGLC 35 example paper (Word document, .docx)

The example paper shows how to use the template: every style in use, a figure and a table placed and captioned correctly, and an author with two affiliations in one footnote. It has no checklist. Use it as a guide, but write your paper in the template.

What is new compared with earlier templates:

  • The headers and footers only say what the IGLC adds at publication. Leave them as they are: the reference with the DOI, the title, the authors, the track and the page numbers are added when the paper is published.
  • There is more space above the title on the first page, where the reference is printed. Do not remove it.
  • The checklist asks you to check your paper on the Check your paper page before each submission and to upload its PDF report with the paper.
  • Insert tables with Insert → Table → Quick Tables → IGLC table. New tables use the IGLC Table style, which formats the cells like Table body; apply Table heading to the header row.
  • Each author has exactly one footnote; an author with several affiliations lists them in that footnote, separated by semicolons.

Papers written in an older template can be moved to the new one by starting a new document from the template and pasting the text in with "Keep Text Only", then applying the styles.
