For authors

Check your paper

Upload your paper to check it against the IGLC template before you submit it. You get a report of what to check and fix, which you can download as a PDF.

The check looks at what can be checked automatically: the template's styles, title, authors and their affiliation footnotes (email, ORCID), abstract, keywords, the required headings, page size and margins, the submission checklist, references in the abstract, empty lines, figure wrapping and captions, formatting set by hand instead of by the styles, changed style definitions, and, for papers under review, that they are anonymous.

The report does not accept or reject your paper. It lists what the check found, for you to check and fix, and what it cannot check (such as language, references in APA style and the paper's relevance), which you check yourself with the submission checklist. A short report does not mean the paper meets the requirements: the chairs and editors read every paper.

Your file is only used for the check and is not kept. The report records the file's name and a fingerprint (SHA-256) that identifies the exact file checked.

Check and fix with an AI assistant

The same check is available as a skill for AI assistants (a ZIP file). In Claude, add it under Settings → Capabilities → Skills; with other assistants that can run Python, upload the ZIP and ask them to follow SKILL.md. The assistant runs the check, explains how to fix each finding, and can make purely mechanical fixes such as applying the template's styles, in a copy of your paper. It never changes your text. The check on this page is the official one.
