Publication

Publication Schedule

The Proceedings of the Annual Conference of the International Group for Lean Construction are published annually, around the time of the conference.

All papers in the proceedings are published online at IGLC.net shortly before the conference.

The full proceedings document is produced and made available sometime after the conference concludes.

Open Access

The Proceedings of the Annual Conference of the International Group for Lean Construction are open access. All papers and the full proceedings are free to download at IGLC.net.

Responsibilities

The scientific chairs of each IGLC conference serve as the editors of the proceedings for that conference. They are responsible for preparing all individual papers and the complete proceedings PDF. The IGLC.net webmaster is responsible for publishing the papers and proceedings on IGLC.net.

DOI, ISSN, and ISBN

Each paper gets a DOI of the form 10.24928/year/number, where the number is the paper's number in the conference management system. The IGLC prints the DOI and the full reference on the paper's first page when it is published.

After the papers have been published online, each paper's authors receive an email with a personal link to the published details of their paper (title, authors, affiliations, ORCID iDs, abstract and keywords). Please confirm them or send corrections promptly: the DOIs are registered with Crossref once the details are checked.

The ISSN numbers for the proceedings are:

  • Printed: ISSN 2309-0979
  • Electronic: ISSN 2789-0015

The full proceedings are also assigned an ISBN number.

Publication Fees

There are no publication fees for inclusion in the proceedings. However, publication is contingent upon registering to present the paper at the conference. Each registered participant may present up to two papers. If an author wishes to present more than two papers, additional authors must be registered.

For example, if two authors collaborate on three papers, one author can present all three if both authors are registered to participate in the conference.

Archiving

The IGLC maintains an offline backup of all papers published on IGLC.net. In the event that the IGLC is dissolved per §13 of the Charter and Operating Procedures, a plan will be developed to ensure continued access to the papers in the future.

Individual authors are free to upload their papers to their institutional repositories.
